Don't Like It? Cover it Up!

You may remember this painting. If you can recognize it, that is. I never liked it. I loved the background but always hated the face and the words were so small that, to me, the poor thing looked like she had a trail of ants marching over her head.

Patrick liked it and he's always a bit amused or horrified when I decide to just throw paint over a painting I don't like. But. Well. I did it anyway.

When I took this pic, I was thinking, "oh no, what have I done?"



But I'm really starting to like it now and I'm having a blast.

I don't know what the original looked like. I like this one. Daring to be different is the way to go.

I'm with you, Lisa. I think the red adds a great deal of interest and surprise, and having a blast is what making art is all about isn't it? Good instinct, girlfriend!
