Sacred Life

One of my fristers, Claire, is participating in a wonderful project, called My Sacred Life. It was started by Carla.

The idea is to add a photo, daily, of something about our day that brings us closer to spirit.

I love the idea and have decided to participate also. I'm not sure that I will be able to post daily, but I will be aware of things in my every day life that bring me closer to spirit and I will post when I am able.

To start off, I have two photos today.

One is a painting that I did in the wee hours of the morning. It hit me in a fury and I had to get out of bed and paint. When I was finished, I returned to bed happy and content.

The second photo is of a cd jacket. My dear Patrick put on this beautiful cd this morning. We stood in the living room with arms wrapped around one another through two Gregorian Chants.

In that moment, I felt completely at One with the Divine. The moment was more sacred than any I have had in a church building, sitting for hours at a time.

We then went for a walk in the rain and the feeling of worship continued. It continues still.

I am filled with joy this Sunday morning.

I pray you are as well.

Ah Gregorian Chants. Nothing gets you closer to the sacred than that.
