Another product of a sleepless night. Well, not completely sleepless. I got Tim's mom to bed early and left the boys to put themselves to bed and I went to bed before 10. I woke up at 2am. I think I'm visualizing too much. What woke me up was a dream that I was driving on the freeway and everything I thought about was magnetized to me. The guardrail smacking me in the head was the final straw. LOL
So, I got up and fixed some jasmine tea (again) and worked on this little mixed media madness. When I was putting my cup of tea on my bedside table, I noticed the lovely stained glass garden accessory that wonderful Kai gave me. It will never make it into the garden because I don't think I can part with it from the bedroom. At the bottom of it there is a glass that says "Delight." I was thinking..deLIGHT!!! Makes sense, right? Light. Light seems to be jumping out at me from everywhere these days. I thought, "what a lovely command to see every morning when I first wake up." So, every day I will look at that and think, "yes, delight. Delight in my life and all of the things with which I am so abundantly blessed."
Then I made this quirky art piece. LOL
Tinker, your prize is going out in the mail TODAY. That's another thing I did around 2 when I woke up. I packaged it up and when I go to pick Nick up from school, I'll drop it by the P.O.
I love to hear Jon Mayer sing, but this morning as they were playing one of my favorite songs, I realized what he was saying..."we're waiting on the world to change." Well, Jon, my dear...stop waiting. Change it. Was it Ghandi who said "Be the change you wish to see in the world?" It's so true. It just takes a little bit of effort to make changes where you are. Eventually all the changes will add up. Be kind. Be loving. Be you.
Oh, I almost forgot! I just found out that I am the featured crafter at the Berry Country Craft Mall! I'll be featured in the stitchery section. So I added lots of prim stuff back to my etsy shop, which I'd been meaning to do for a while anyway. So exciting!
