Pictures

I have lots of pictures today. I spent hours yesterday rearranging the furniture in my bedroom and cleaning up. I'm really happy with the way it came together. It's very comfy and cozy to be in there and maybe even a little romantic. Tim loves the Indian look so I tried to incorporate some of that just using things I already had around the house. I brought stuff in from other rooms. I think the room is a nice blend of male/female...mideastern/cottagey. Anyway, it was fun. I was still sorting and putting things away at midnight before I could get in bed...literally. lol The two black and white pictures are drawings that my sons have done. I've had the lighthouse framed and hanging in our room for a long time. Michael did that when he was in grade school. The other one I just found in a pile of the kids papers (in a corner of my room lol) and it is signed by Nick. I cannot remember when he did it. I found a frame for it and I LOVE the way they look together.

I also have pics of the birdhouses. I added some things to them. I had to laugh when I read your comment Julie, because I had added so much stuff after you said that about me not over-collaging them. hehe Hopefully I added "just enough" more.

Now I have to work on my studio room because I took the bookcase from there to the bedroom and I have craft books and magazines all over the floor now. Plus, I carried things from the bedroom to the studio.....so I have to find places for everything. I may be too bushed to worry about it today, though.

Tim is doing well, for anyone wondering. He likes the hospital and the town he's staying in. The people are nice. The facility is clean and nice. His house is adequate and very close to the facility. He misses home but I know he loves to travel and he is having a nice time..even though he's working 12 hour days. ick.

I'm doing ok, too. Every time I start to feel down or lonely, I just turn on happy music and start cleaning something. LOL Hopefully, I'll get back to working on my crow chunky book today.

Hugs all around.

She had been having a complete turn out and spring- cleaning, to relieve her feelings. She had just finished.

The above is a description of Flopsy as she attempts to deal with the kidnapping of her children - from Beatrix Potter's "The Tale of Mister Tod."

I always like the line because it makes clear why women clean at certain times...
;)

btw I like Nick's drawing and the two look very nice together. You've been busy - how does it feel?

Yay! I can comment again!
Your sons are so talented - just like their mom. They do look just right next to each other.
Your room looks lovely (I love your dressing table!). That last birdhouse with the nest and eggs is my favorite.

Tim won't recognise the place when he gets home :)

I am sure he will love everything you have done. The bedroom looks beautiful.

And those bird houses are stunning!

Love you had used some of that green pom pom trim (isn't it great stuff?)

Glad Tim is doing OK. He will be home before you know it.

Hugs from me to you xoxoxo

I love the colours you chose for your bedroom Lisa, they're so vibrant. You do the eclectic mix of cottage and other styles so well! One day I'd like to try my hand at making a bird house for our garden - you have provided a lot of inspiration! No excuses now...;)
