Some pics

These are the shoes that Emily painted. Didn't she do a good job? The parrot is incredible and she made them identical on the other shoe, all free hand. Amazing. There's also a monkey and on the back it says "jungle boogie." lol I think they're cute.Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Some painted stuff
These are just some things I painted for the fun of it. Three wooden boxes and a round plaque thingey. A.C.Moore had paint on sale cheap today so I bought some new stuff. I've painted another pair of shoes and added something a little different this time.

Oh, I almost forgot to show you my thrift store finds from today!

Ah, well...I'll do it in another post because I just realized I haven't uploaded them yet. :)

It's soo early...I meant she's got her mother's talent! I'm going now to get more tea - just can't function without it obviously!

Lol, how's the noisy keyboard? are you managing to type and not wake up Emily? I thought of you just now whilst I was noisely (?spell) typing away over at 5minutesforMom like the clackety-clack typist I am.

Wow, that's incredible that she did it freehand and they both came out the same. How cute. Sorry I hadn't visted, bloglines wasn't working properly. ;0( You both sound like you are very addicted to it. lol Have lots of fun. It must be nice to have her there to enjoy your craft with you.

You all made Emily feel so happy. Thank you for the wonderful comments. She read them this afternoon and was smiling a bunch.

I wanted to clear up one thing that I should have said in the post. Emily is my step-daughter so I can't take any credit for her talent. :) In fact, she is way more talented than her wonderful step-mother. lol (or..evil stepmother, as she calls me..whatever). :D I used to say..."goood niiighttt wicked step-children" when they were younger and they would lovingly respond "Goodniiiiight evil step-mother." hehehe Ask me about the time I duct-taped them. LOL Dad was very surprised. That'll teach 'em.

Anyway, thank you for all the lovely comments on the shoes and the other things. We appreciated it.
