Hodge Podge

Shelf, two little boxes I bought the other day and a Heinz 57 steak sauce bottle I practiced on.
Stool
Close-up of the box.
The box on two little doilies I crocheted, sitting on the little bench.

The main color is "toile", a cream color, with the obvious exception of the little round box. I painted it white. The shelf is painted but it barely looks it in the photos. It matches the stool. I plan to put them together somewhere and I thought flowers on the shelf would be overkill so I just left it plain.

I also planted some squash, pumpkin and some flowers (zinnias, marigolds and straw flowers..everlastings?) in my box today. Well, the zinnias I planted on either side of my bench. All seeds, so I will have to be very patient and a good waterer.

Deb, I tried out my claw today. I wouldn't want to have to till a field with it, but it worked great for the little jobs I need. I was wrong about the energy needed, though. Whew. And I did it all in this dress. It's the one I did the little embroidered flower on last week.

Now I need to check supper. Tim will probably be home soon and he won't want burnt chicken. :)

hi, your crafting looks so lovely! Your rosedecorations are so nice, and the shelf looks good too. I just love your veranda, it looks so old-fashioned.

How busy you've been. This is a last stop blog before bed. Been watching National Treasure film (in between the satellite playing up!). Then the two kids wandering around upstairs.

I love how you've made them look so pretty! And who'd have thought a bottle of Heinz could look so chic?

You look very pretty sitting there on the step next to the lovely geraniums, not a rose between two thorns, but a rose between two geraniums. ;o). Well done for gardening in your dress, I cheated I must admit I removed dress for gardening in jeans :o( . Not very feminine, but no-one saw me except the snails. ;o)
Blessings, it's bedtime for me and hubby.

Thank you Hulda. I had my supper out there this evening while the kids were playing in the woods. It was very peaceful.

Sarah, you made me laugh (again) with your comments about the rose/geraniums and the chic heinz bottle. lol Actually, I think there are occasions where pants are more modest. There were times having a dress on kept me from getting in a better position in the dirt. (I know this goes against what we're supposed to be doing, but truth's truth). I like wearing dresses, but I don't think I'll be giving up my pants now and then. I bet you're the talk of snail town. hehe

Nighty night. I hope you're having lovely dreams right now. :)

Glad you were able to use the clawer, Lisa. Hmm, I thought it might take a little oomph! :)

Yes, I LOVE the picture of you on the steps. Very nice!
