What we did Samhain/Halloween 2010

I ground my mint and lemon balm for teas.

This is about half of what I ended up with with the mint.
The lemon balm filled a jar.
I had a little left over and used it to make incense.

We watched football and the kids got ready to go out trick-or-treating.

This is Kasey, Michael's girlfriend and their friend Debbie.

These were taken after they had been out. This is Mike in his Pyramid Head costume that he made.

Google Pyramid Head Silent Hill (video game) if you want to see what this is and aren't familiar with the game or movie. Mike did an amazing job on it. He made the helmet from fiberglass and cardboard. The sword is cut from a board and painted.

The group. Mike, Kasey as Little Red Riding Hood, Debbie as a show girl (flapper?) and Quillan, another friend of the family is, I guess, the devil. :)

They looked away just as I snapped.

Awwww Aren't they sweet? :)

I hope you had a great day!

Your herbal tea sounds delightful ! I need to harvest the last of my herbs this week. I've never tried lemon balm and mint together , think I'll give it a try.
I love seeing kids dressed for Halloween , young and old. Your son has your creative spirit.

Lisa,
The kids really are cute! They look like good kids too. You live in the kind of neighborhood where those costumes will be appreciated.

Bet you really enjoy that tea this winter. Wish I would have thought of making some. There is still time I think.

Nice post and I also enjoyed a previous Samhain post that your created.

The Pyramid Head is AWESOME! Dead on! If Quillan had a hockey stick he could have been one of the little devil kids from Dogma. :)
