Samhain Blessings to You!

Samhain Altar 2010
Until yesterday, I hadn't really changed the altar since Mabon. Oh, except for adding those great candles. My landlord is moving and she had me going through a bunch of her stuff she was just getting rid of. I have been wanting candles and even that day almost went to the dollar store to get some but decided not to spend the money. Then Jan gave me more candles than I've ever had at one time in my life. lol So happy and I thought these were so autumney looking. That blue chalice is from GoodWill a few months back. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was mine.

Yesterday, I printed out a picture of Patrick's sister, Beverly, and added her to the altar. It still doesn't seem possible that she's gone. Behind her picture is a nature picture she sent us the first year we were together. On the back she wrote: "Look into the picture. Know sounds of water running around rocks. Listen for voices of children playing behind you. Smile. Love, Beverly" Isn't that the best? I wish I could have met her in person. I always thought that I would get to.

I also added a photo of my Grandparents. I miss them tons.

This morning before I got up, I had little conversations with all of them, thanking them for the love they showed.
Last night, I added the cute little pumpkin. Patrick bought him for me our first Halloween together.
muahahahahahahah

Have a blessed Samhain, Happy Halloween or Beautiful Beltane, depending where you are and what you do.
