Release

I joined a yahoo Soul Journal Group, lead by the wonderful Collage Diva. I've been watching the prompts and the message board for a while. Yesterday I finally got around to making a journal page from one of Kathryn's beautiful prompts, Release. Isn't that a great word?

Today I release everything that is unhealthy for my body, mind and/or spirit.
Today I release anything that would veil my brightness.

Remember my story about making the little table over with the silk curtains? I finally got a picture today. The whole wall has become a bit of a shrine. The center table is the altar Patrick brought with him. It was his only piece of furniture. We have candles, incense, special meaningful (to us) little pieces of this and that and many prayer books on the altar. The painting is one of mine. The pieces in the window were done by Patrick. Anyway, here's a little peek at the corner that makes me so happy. I will be happy to move to a new place this summer, but for now a few special things make it home and it is sacred.

Much love to you all.

Beautiful journal entry! The tangerine-goodness of the colors make me smile. :)

Here's to letting go!

What a great start to soul journalling. I agree with Molly about the colors, they go perfectly with your images and the theme of releasing. I look forward to all the great work still to come!

Welcome aboard!

On a side note, my maiden name was Grogg, so you can imagine, I have lots of frog references in my past, and my oldest friends still call me 'ribbet'
