Dreams of Giant Collage

I covered up an old piece yesterday. I really had fun. There is a ton of collage under the paint. The dress is made of melted crayons over beads and a piece of lace binding. The necklace is little drops of melted silver crayon with a little dab of bronze paint on the tops. There are bronze streaks in her hair and in her eyes and a verse from a poem collaged on her cheek.

I have her listed in my etsy shop. I've relisted a few other things over there, too. I missed having an etsy shop.

As I went to sleep last night, I asked for guidance and inspiration. I so want to be able to paint beautiful and inspiring things. But I tend to paint kind of weird things like the woman above. lol And I watch so many different artists videos to learn new things that I then question myself when I sit down to do my own thing. So, as I said, I asked for guidance and inspiration and I dreamed about collage the entire night. I even dreamed about a giant collage piece that was hanging in a gallery, that apparently I had done. I'm not sure what that means, if anything, but it was cool to see.

I'm having lunch in a bit with a friend. She came to the SoulCollage workshop and it has had an impact on her similar to the one it had on me. SoulCollage is such a wonderful revealing and healing tool.

I hope everyone has a great day. Mmmmmmmm Wah!

I don't know why, but we always doubt our own work. Weird is good
:-). You have a unique vision and it is a lovely one. Go forth and no more doubting your talent. I love that you used melted crayons :-).
