I decided to try switching again tonight and this time Blogger let me do it, so now I have the new Blogger. I upgraded my template so my angels disappeared and everything is kind of plain. That's ok. Change is good sometimes, isn't it?

I do like the new feature of having the new post link right on your blog page. I'm sure I'll discover lots of other features as I go along.

I stitched this angel last week. She is framed by homespun. I have the whole thing in a frame but am planning to either paint this one or get another frame altogether. I'll take a better pic later. I was playing with my camera here trying to see if there's any hope for it. After four years, I discovered today (thanks to the Etsy forums) that I have macro. I've read the book looking for it but all it took was someone in the forums saying "it's the tulip." Ahhh cool. It does help. Next I'm getting a tripod. Apparently that makes a bigger difference than I'd imagined. After the tripod I'll decide whether or not to break down and buy a new camera.

I haven't done much today. I've crocheted a bit. Nick and I went to ACMoore so he could buy more canvas. That was fun. I picked up some yarn and something else which totally escapes me at the moment.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. Ours has been nice.

The angel's lovely, Lisa - and that doll! I just saw her, and oh my gosh she's gorgeous!
I just got a new camera - finally! tonight. I can't wait to play with it. Hope you're having a great weekend.

This stitching is lovely!
Good advice on the macro AND the tripod. I have a regular size one for my SLR and a wee table top one for the digi camera...do you think I remember to use either one?? I've had my camera for over a year and there are still things I need to learn about it...and mine isn't real fancy.
Trial and error I guess. Good luck.
XOXO

I really like the new blogger system, it is fun posting some pictures in the sidebar too.

Oooooo do you think she will go on Etsy?? Do you think the glass in photo frame would post?? If she does go on Etsy can I have first dibs? It would be perfect for L's new bedroom, she's my little angel and her favourite song is Twinkle Twinkle little star!

Sorry, I sound very pressuring there don't I, don't worry if you didn't plan to Etsy her.

Hugs.

Tinker, You and Ninnie both got new cameras! I'm weakening. lol

Lisa, Mine isn't real fancy either. It came from ThinkGeek.com. I ordered one for Nick and they accidentally sent two of them. I called but they said they were too busy and that I should just keep it. lol So I got a free camera. It's very simple but it's been very handy.

Hulda, I like it too. It took me a while to figure it out this morning about loading pictures. I'm glad you like my stitched angel. :)

Pam, thanks. She is on muslin and I "painted" it with the coffee/vanilla mixture to age it.

Heather Those were so fun. I freehanded those when I traced the pattern. Fun to draw and stitch.

Elisabeth, thanks! Good to see you.

Sarah I'll be happy to Etsy her for you. Yay! I'm not happy with the frame so you tell me what you want and I'll get a new frame for her. I don't think the glass will be a problem to mail at all.

Lisa your angel is lovely and Emily....YES she would sell. She is adorable. I have a question..the other doll you recently made, does it come with the poem? I mean, is it attached? I saw it on Etsy but I didn't see a price. Prolly I don't now how to use Etsy but I'd like to know. Thanks. :)

Hi Judie. I haven't listed the other one on Etsy. You probably saw it on Flickr. I have been thinking about writing out the poem and attaching it or shrinking it and pinning it to the doll or something.

Oh Congratulations! You switched over to new Blogger. It took me so long to get up the courage.

And mine still looks 'funny' to me, at times. {too small print in places, or too large all over} But, I'm glad I did it.

And I've stopped obsessing over seemingly over-night changes in the looks of it. Me'thinks that no matter what they tell us, it's still Beta. And Beta means 'we don't have all the bugs out yet!".

Smilensigh, It took me a while too and then when I finally got up the nerve, they wouldn't switch me! So, then of course I really, really wanted to switch. :) I like it now that I'm getting used to it.

Gemma, thank you. :)
