Fall Cleaning

The crisp cool air and bright sunshine make me want to clean and rearrange things. I'm trying to lighten things up. I've been feeling the need to let more and more things go and have less clutter around. I've been doing this for a few months now and every time I do it, I just feel so much better that it makes me want to get rid of more stuff!
A couple of pieces of milk glass and a little aqua container that my son, Mike, bought me years and years ago sit in the freshly washed window sill.

I put the slipcover on the sofa and an old bedspread over the chair. It really made a big change. I'd love to get some aqua/teal/green/blue throw pillows eventually. Wrinkly, isn't it? I can live with it.


The bathroom has been this way for a little while now. The print over the toilet is from a book that is from the "Eyewitness Books" collection. I've been using a few of its pages as art around the house.



I rearranged the altar today for Samhain. It may be a little early but it feels right to me. I added a pic of Patrick's grandparents and a small one of his dad. I will add photos of my grandparents, too.

I took a pic of the doll I made but I'll post it tomorrow.
