Forgiveness

Forgiveness
On 8x10 matboard

We ask forgiveness
of one another,
woman to woman,
sister to sister.

We ask forgiveness
of one another,
as children of God,
as friend to friend.

Too many times
have we failed to stand
together
in solidarity.
Too many times
have we judged one another,
condemning those things
we did not understand.

We ask forgiveness
for assuming we know
all there is to know
about each other,
for presuming to speak
for each other,
for defining,
confining,
claiming,
naming,
limiting,
labeling,
conditioning,
interpreting,
and consequently oppressing
each other.

This is so good Lisa!

I had some issues with someone who hurt someone else and realized that fear is what caused it so why not just forgive them. Why not just forgive no matter what caused it.

I figured out how to get the Chip In button on my blog finally.

God Bless You and Yours and Your Creative Life and Health!!!

Your collage is vibrant and alive. The women I feel are almost about to walk out of the picture. The words well they are true and right.

Lisa, this has touched me deeply, and like the first commenter, makes me feel I have a forgiveness issue to deal with. There is a friend whose story I really don't know, and to whom I need to stretch out a hand despite everything. I'm taking the words to heart, and the SoulCollage very much into my heart. Thank you.

Gorgeous - reminds me of a cave you go deeper and deeper into until you find the gentle buddha at the deepest well.

This is a very moving piece Lisa......thanks for sharing it. I know that forgiveness is something most of us are working on. It's very liberating when we do in fact choose to forgive.

I love the images you chose for your collage - perfect.

Love, violette
