Home

This is one of the winding roads that leads to home. We took a trip to see my family last weekend. They and Patrick met for the first time and I got to see new baby cousins that I hadn't met. I got to hug my brother in real life rather than on myspace! That was awesome.

I've been doing a little art for myself, nothing to sell. It feels good to do art just for art's sake...just for my soul's sake. Mostly I've been doing mandalas and soulcollage cards and just last night I started doing zentangles, or as the mandala group has renamed them "zendalas." I haven't scanned them yet. Oh yeah, did I mention we got a new computer with a three-in-one printer, scanner and copier. Did I mention that it's heaven?? I've always wanted a copier and I love having a scanner. Oh so, back to the "zendalas." When I get them scanned, I'll upload the pics. They're really fun to do. The beautiful, inside and out, Milliande has a great video how-to on youtube. She made it irresistable!

Here's a pic of my family. We took this right before we left. Michael is doing that behind us in every photo. LOL He was awesome all weekend. Given the option of leaving the boring talk and going to watch tv, cable even! which he never gets to watch, he chose to sit with us and talk with his grandparents. I was very pleased. He's grown up so much and has such a loving heart. Makes a mama's heart go pitter pat.

The people in the pic, from your left to right are my stepfather, Gary, Mom, Moi, Mike in the back and my brother Allen. (better known as "Hook" in music circles.) I have another brother, Tony, but he wasn't really feeling well that day so we didn't drag him out into the heat. Oh yeah, if you're wondering why Patrick isn't in it, he was taking the picture. And yes, that is the dress from our wedding. hehe Nothing like being able to wear your wedding dress just to hang out! (and it was thrifted...I guess it was the "something old and the something new (to me!))

Have a great week everyone. Much love to you.

I am so happy you were able to take that trip and to connect with your family. And I'm glad Patrick had a chance to meet and interact with the inlaws. Sounds like it all went well!!
Congrats on the new computer etc...really changes things when you have great equipment doesn't it?
As for your son, he had a great Mom as an example....so wonder he's so kind!
XOXO
