Another Stall and some sad pumpkin news

This is the pumpkin later in the evening.

I am sad to report that as of this writing, pumpkin has already been disposed of.

Shortly before this photo was taken, while I was on the phone with one punny lady, Patrick came to me with the distressing news that our pumpkin had tried to make a break for it.

He was unrecognizable from his fall to the asphalt beneath the porch railing.

Patrick, needless to say, was very sad about this event. I offered some jewelry pins and such and he reconstructed the dear squash.

He looked pretty good-in the dark. By morning light, he was becoming quite pitiful looking.

Still we left him all day yesterday.

I am still in pain. (from laughing but don't tell Patrick, because the official word is that it is NOT funny).

Next year, we must place the pumpkin in a safer spot where he cannot just go jumping willy nilly where the wind wills.

The cat looks a bit suspicious but could not be reached for questioning.

ROTFLOL!!!
Now what's this I hear about a Pumpkin that turned into a Squash?

Cinderella's pumpkin turned into a Carriage to take her to the Ball.

What happened? Where's that Cat at?
It's come down to the Cat? What Cat might that be?

It's like Humpty Dumpty all over again, but in Pumpkin form!

You could make some Pumpkin Fritters out of it, so all wouldn't be of a loss to Patrick. Mrs. Nesbitt as posted some recipes a few days ago for the use of pumpkins.

Have a Blessed Week!

Just read it again. I guess you can't make fritters since you disposed of the pumpkin already.

But it probably would make good compost.

Have a Lovely Evening!

I hear he's the newest member of therock group.....Smashing Pumpkins. I hear he plays bass but can't do any vocals due to his fall and the pins in his head.

This was TOO funny!!!

Poor little Jack-o-Latern. I found a metal Jack-o-Latern candleholder a few years ago , it's great if you have curious kitties , they can't knock it over easily.

Happy Halloween to You and Patrick !!
