Sacred Gifts

One of the biggest gifts to my Sacred Life has been the addition of an altar.

Patrick has had an altar in his home always. I never have.

The first piece of furniture in our new home together was the altar.

Every day, the things upon it are rearranged, because God is constant but we are ever changing. Our desires change. Our needs change. Our objects of gratitude change.

Every day, either Patrick or I choose a prayer from one (or more) of the prayer books on the table.

We mark it so the other may read it when they will.

We may or may not light incense. It does help me to focus.

The prayer we choose could be global or it could be particular to something that is going on in our life.

It can be a prayer of gratitude or a prayer for healing.

Anything.

I am grateful for this new practice that Patrick has brought to me.

We have incorporated my gratitude beads, a prayer book that was a gift from Christine, Dr. Beckwith's Mind Fast, Soul Feast book, a card I bought for Patrick before I found him again with the intention of giving it to him (it says, Because the one I love lives inside you, I will always lean as close to your body as I can), and the Source Card from my SoulCollage deck.

I am happy and grateful for this physical representation of our devotion to and Union with God and one another.

Life is Sacred.

Every bit of it.

Two wholes that came together to form a more perfect union....sharing one altar...one space....two beating hearts lit from within to form one beam of light. A light that can be seen from space for its intensity. I see a candle on your altar as a symbol of that.
XOXOXO
Love,
Lisa

This is indeed beautiful and sacred, Lisa. A beautiful union of spirit in so many ways...and thank you for sharing it. I am happy for the union that you and Patrick have created. Every bit of happiness ups the happiness-vibe of our Universe...so the angles are dancing right now...and so am I!

By the way... I have the same book "Unity Guide to Prosperous Living"... (as well as Dr. Beckwith's book, as you know).

Godpseed to you both!

Every moment of every day is indeed sacred and should be celebrated. I find altars powerful reminders of our connection to the Sacred, as well as perfect ways to focus our energy in giving thanks and/or in manifesting.
