Catching up

I was reading Kai's blog and it reminded me that I've been meaning to scan in some things Pam sent me for my birthday! Yesterday, a man at the post office commented on the frog clock. He thought it was really cute. I have him hanging on my giant Van Gogh bag that my sweet Emily gave me for Christmas. I use him as a zipper pull. I never wear a watch so it's just perfect to have it there! First there was an envelope with a froggy on it, then a card and inside the card was this cute froggy fabric and inside the cute froggy fabric a cute froggy clock!!! Thank you Pam. I use it every single day and think of you every time.

Isn't that bunny card cute? That is from Ms. Tinker! So adorable.

I recently received this awesome post card from Kate, too! That was a really nice surprise. I sure hope we get to meet in September.

A while back, Gemma took her grands to Disneyland and she sent me this great picture of herself with Prince Charming. :) It's the second one I've received from Disneyland this year, as Violette sent one to me earlier. How cool is that?

I am so blessed. It is heartwarming to go to the box and know that people are thinking of me and taking the time to reach out. I hope you know how much it means to me.

If I forget to put it on my blog, it does not mean that it didn't mean as much. It means that I get ditzy and forget what I have and haven't shown.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day or evening. I'm trying to do some maintenance around the house today. The only thing on my list yesterday that I didn't cross off was laundry, so I am working on that today. It's been a hectic couple of days.

The alternator on my car went out Friday. Monday I picked up a new one and my wonderful son, Nick, put it in so the car is reliable again and that feels good. Thank you Nick.

Because I wasn't so sure about the car earlier on Monday, I had to cancel a doctor's appointment for Lois and reschedule it for Tuesday. So Tuesday, I got her in and out of the shower, dressed, hair done and took her to the doctor which was kind of an ordeal. Getting her in and out of the car is no easy task but I must say, my back is doing great! I'm so happy about that. She asked if my back was hurting because it was hurting while we were at the docs, but I told her it would be fine in a little while and it is. No pain at all. Thank you God. I also mailed out an order (sorry I'm a day late Heather! Thank you for ordering the gratitude beads!)

Yesterday, I had to go back to the docs and pick up her prescriptions and run to the pharmacy and get them filled. I also had to pick up a box at the post office from her daughter. It was insured so when I either wasn't here or didn't hear the door, the carrier took the package back to the post office. It was a birthday gift.

I also had to return a suit that Nick bought online. They sent the wrong color, so I had to UPS it back so they can send the other one before Prom. Hopefully it is already on its way, but he was ahead of schedule so there is some wiggle room, thankfully.

He took his SATs Saturday. He said it was fun. He wasn't being sarcastic.

Today, I am staying put, doing laundry, vacuuming, dusting and organizing. I bought a mop and bucket yesterday. I know that doesn't sound very exciting but it was for me. LOL Sad, huh? So I mopped my kitchen floor yesterday. I may work on the hardwood floors in the rest of the house today. Hmmm, I think I may be getting ahead of myself seeing as I'm still sitting here talking to you guys.

Ok...off I go. Love you guys.

Adorable frog watch....all lovely things. I don't ever wear a watch either... If I ever have it would be in the form of a necklace or haning of a purse like that one! I wonder how many creative people don't wear watches?
