I re-organized my craft desk yesterday. I put a bunch of stuff on top so I could have more room to work on the actual desk. On the left side (as I face it) I have jars with lace and rick rack and glass marbles, a pewter goblet with sharpies and other markers and a hobnail milk glass pedestal dish that holds my new markers. A recent thrift store berry bowl holds my buttons. There are some beads in the little milk glass pedestal thing. In the middle is my metal trunk with laces and ribbons in it, then to the right (in the other pic) is a thrifted treats box that I lined (not sewn or anything) with a thrifted handkerchief and it holds lots of binding, lace, trims and ribbons, a thrifted creamer filled with beads, a thrifted glass creamer filled with faux pearls and the little tin you saw earlier this week. I guess my plan for keeping it camouflaged didn't work out so well, but it makes me smile to have all my stuff within arm's reach and I think it looks kind of pretty. I'll probably hang some of my collages over the desk when I pick up some frames.
I like looking at peoples' craft spaces; particularly when it's limited as mine is, so I thought I'd share mine. Plus, I put a lightbulb in this morning so it was finally light enough. lol
See ya later. :)

ah, you have inspired me....I like the idea of using things like you have to store the odd bit and bob. Most of my readily available things are in those plastic drawers (which is great)...but now I want to use some "pretty little things" too!
my poor studio looks rather untidy at the moment, it can never stay as you'd like. but then it would mean we aren't creating if it was tidy all the time.so oh well.
All your old things looks good togheter. The little pitcher, made of glass, was really cute. :)
You also make a lot of nice collages!
What a clever idea to use the creamers! I have a collection of them : now I see what I can do with them! Thanks! My art space(s) is a mess! I have lots of those little plastic drawers but all my junk ends up everywhere else!!!
You have a lovely craft space. I don't really have a space of my own at the moment. I have a small mess of my own on a side table in the living room, otherwise I am a crafting nomad, meandering around the house wherever the whim takes me :)
Emma
Hi, Lisa. I found your blog from Isabelle's sidebar (Isabelle of Kitty Couture.)
Last weekend I swapped out my sewing corner for scrapbook things since I need more tools for the latter but actually love both hobbies equally. You have inspired me to add to my functional but sterile Sterilite plastic drawers by using pretty little storage things. I'll probably want to photograph my new-and-impoved space soon, since in a picture is the ONLY way neatness lasts around here1
Lisa, I absolutely agree about it staying tidy. I love letting it get all messy while I'm busy just going with the flow and then when I'm not feeling as "flow-y" (lol) it feels good to get it all tidied up.
Thanks Hulda! It's a fun way to use those things.
Pam,how fun that you have a collection of creamers! They will be great for those little things.
hehe Emma, I was a nomad too but then I realized that we were always lamenting the fact that the front room never gets used. It's "wasted space" Tim was always saying. Now it's a well loved space that is almost always occupied.
Zoanna, I'm so glad you decided to visit. I recognize your name from Isabelle's and know that you have been an especially sweet friend to her. Isabelle is really special. :) I'll keep an eye out for your pictures. I'd love to see your space. I know what ya mean about the pic. hehe
How cool the things you have used as storage. I think I might have to hist the thrift shops and she if I can find some prettys.
I lost my art room ( we made it into a bedroom for my grandson who's here now)...so my stuff is all over. 2 big trunks, a huge basket, bunches of shoe boxes full of stuff...a chair stacked high in my dining room.... today I cleaned off the DR table....cuz it was covered. I know I can do better...Your ideas are so pretty and functional. Of course thats what I need to do! Thanks froggyhead!
I also like looking at peoples` craft spaces & dreaming about how it would be to have a big craft space where I could have a lot of things at hand... (Have you seen allsorts` studio? I want that room!)
I try so hard to be organized and in most I am - but then I get creating and it just gets all jumbled again.
Ninnie, I especially like using things this way because you can get the pretty but cracked things that you may not want to put liquids in but are fine for beads and such!
Gemma, I was using the dining room table too and hiding craft things in baskets so it would still look like a dining room. Craft stuff multiplies exponentially, I am finding.
Vintagewine lol Yes, that is an awesome one and also...Posie gets cozy I think, has the turquoise walls and huge space. I shouldn't tell you this (lol) but there are flickr groups all about craft spaces and rooms. Just go to flickr.com and click on groups and do a search for craft space. You will be stuck in front of the computer for hours. LOL
Robyn, that's the best part of crafting for me..when I get so carried away I wonder who made the big mess. :)
I love seeing other peoples craft spaces. It looks like you're beautifully organized! Debbie
Found it! And yes, I`m stucked ;-)
