This is what Tim made. It's a part for a boat that is no longer available. Once he got rid of all the extra metal and cleaned it up, it looked just like the original part.

I was delighted to see your husbands castings ,my husband and I own a foundry in New Zealand (not green sand though, which I guess is the method your husband is using? ),we are die and centrifugel casters it is a fasinating process to watch ,actually alot like making chocolates in moulds !

When I read this post I called my beloved over to come see what your beloved made. He said wow, she get turned on when she sees him do that. I whipped my head around and said, HUH? lol And he said no, I mean she must get turned on, like wow, look what my husband can make. He meant it in a completely innocent way, it just sounded wierd. He said, "like I love when I see you sewing or quilting" etc. It just made me laugh. I was really impressed, I must say. That is so cool.

lol! It is pretty neat to see him do things like that. It's also great because that is the very happiest he can possibly be...melting metal and making things. :)
