More Baby shoes

I was going for a toile effect...not sure that worked out. lol but still pretty doggone cute, I think.

Baby shoe close-up
Close-up of sand pail and shovel motif.

I haven't sealed them yet, so they're not as shiny as the others. That's usually when I start liking them.

You should be an artist the baby shoes are just so cute. What I mean is that when you paint the most mundane object (like that Heinz ketchup bottle a while back) it looks so pretty. Have you considered pottery art? You could get second hand pottery pieces that aren't pretty in their natural state and paint them up. I wonder if the shop that is taking the book laces would consider painted pottery or jugs, etc?? Just a thought. :o)

Or, you could get yourself a pottery wheel and kiln. I bet Tim'd love a kiln with his molding and making skills.

It is 'kiln' where you fire pots isn't it, typed out it doesn't look right. Lol.

Amy, thanks!

Sarah, neat idea. I've thought of a kiln (and yes, it is kiln) but I haven't the first idea about doing pottery. I do like the idea of painting 2nd hand pottery, though!

Isabelle, thanks so much! I am having fun. :)

oh Lisa, these ones are gorgeous too, you clever thing :) thanks too, for the comments on my blog the other day, that was so nice of you and it meant a lot.

the sushi looked yummy, its one of my favourites as well.

oh yes, you asked about my knitting - my nana taught me how to knit when I was small and I got into it in a big way after I finished universary. Then I discovered cross stitch, so now I don't do as much. But it makes a nice change from stitching which I need from time to time. enjoy your weekend!

I like them, I should have done that with my kids baby shoes. Little to late for that now. Size 4-7 are just to big. LOL I also do not think things are done till they have a little gloss..

Thank you all for such wonderful comments. I really loved each one. I couldn't always respond. I have a teenager sleeping in my living room and my typing wakes her up, so I haven't been commenting much since I usually do my more intense blogging early in the morning.

Please know that I appreciate the comments so much.
