Yard Sale Stuff

I still need to wash it all and I plan to paint the darker shelf, but all in all it was a pretty good haul. I got all of that for right around three dollars. I also got a nice hard cover book of art for Michael and an onion baker for Tim.

The China you can see in the pic and in the last pics is sitting there because I'm kicking around the idea of having a website and selling stuff like that for people that like the shabby chic style. To be honest, I got the website made and then had second thoughts, so the stuff is just sitting there stacked on my dining room table. Tim wants me to do it more than I want to do it. lol We'll see. :)

Hi, Lisa! I have been so busy in the garden to day, havent seen your post until now. Nice things from the yard sale, there is always some treasures to find at these places.

I really like your table cloth too, nice pattern and fabric. I hope the weather is better now, it sounds real bad yesterday. I should send you mail later to day or tomorrow. Hugs.

Hurrah for the treasure chest of yard sales. Hey, set up a website selling stuff. I'm sure you'd do well. Then, you never know, you might be able to buy an island to go around your mountain. Lol. :o)

Hi Lisa,
Isn't it fun to see what you can get for a few dollars! I love yard sales and actually got to a few this past week.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I have enjoyed reading yours and will return,
Debbie

I didn't find anything at the yard sales we hit. Could it be that yard saling should be done before noon? Teehee.

Deb, Hi. I'm so pleased that you visited me. I hope you will come back. :) I think I read all your archives today and I came "this" close to buying a bag. I still might. I have my eye on that pale pink one.

Cindi, yeah....after noon is a little late. lol Although, sometimes you can get a great deal toward the end because they don't want to haul stuff back in. Sometimes you can even drive by the next day and get stuff from the trash..ummm...not that *I* know anyone who would do that. ;)

Nice finds!! I especially like the silver dish and the bunny box (I think its a box). I so love yard sales!!!

I think the idea you have for selling the stuff is excellent. What do you have to lose? Start small (stuff that you already have) and if it is a "hit" then gradually add a wider selection.

Good point! Yes, it's a tin. I love tins. They really come in handy. I got it for 10cents. lol It reminds me of Watership Down.

Hi Lisa! I love yard sale bargains and have also been kicking around that same idea but selling through e-bay. I think you should go for it...minimal overhead right?

Right! I took some pictures and put them on the xanga site today. Tiny steps. lol I think Ebay is a great idea. I have several books out of the library right now (well, hubby does) on selling on Ebay and how to make the most money at it. I'm just afraid of getting in over my head. I already have a home business (writing and editing) and I don't want to start dreading the computer. Thanks for your support. I appreciate it!
