Shopping Spree

And this is a pic of me waving at you. Note toothpaste splatters and all. Kind of impromptu..took my hair clip out..it's still in my hand. lol I just wanted to show you my Goodwill dress..$3.50. :) I threw it straight in the washer and dryer...then finally got around to ironing it today. I had just finished getting dressed and my hair done when Tim asked if I wanted to go out. We went "buying" for my "shop." Look at this mess in my kitchen. What have I done? lol This is too much like work!! :) I'm lovin' it.

I wave back at you, Lisa! you look good in the new dress. And I really like the things you have bought. The white vases looks so pretty. I collect vases. And the blue bottle was really great! I read in your earlier post that you are sewing such cloths because of me. I am happy for it! (PS I have a new post at my blog just now. ;o) )

YAY!!! on the great dress find. You've got me interested in looking for some goodwill stores around me. I wonder if I could find some things for my children as well. Those plates are so pretty. They look very dainty and girly. I wish I could find things like that around me.

Thanks Hulda. I commented at your blog. :) I love that blue bottle. I may not be able to sell it. LOL I had it on a table with a white cloth and very light colored things and that blue really stands out. I moved it onto my ironing board for that picture.

Shereen Oh yes, Goodwill and Salvation Army are great places to look for your kids clothes and for yours. Sometimes you really have to look hard, which I don't really enjoy, but I found four dresses yesterday, each for $3.50. Two of them were denim jumpers, one was a beige cotton knit dress and then the green cotton you see me wearing in the picture. They have kids clothes galore. I cannot bring myself to pay full price for clothes anymore. They also had 300 and $500 dollar suits for $10 bucks. Both my husband and stepson wanted one, but the ones they really liked didn't fit. :( Tim did buy some nice khaki pants that looked like they'd never been worn ($3.50) and some nice cotton knit shirts. He got a great Columbia jacket for winter, very heavy, for 3.50. This particular Goodwill liked the $3.50 price. LOL

I LOVE the blue bottle! If my kitchen wasn't on the same floor as my red and gold living/dining area, I would have a blue and white kitchen!

LOVE the jumper too! You look so pretty in it! (o:

My Mom has lots of antique hobnail, I never appreciated it's beauty until the more recent years.

Your Goodwill dress fits you well. I am glad to see it here and glad your DH and SS found things also. Since I am affiliated with the local Goodwill, I am always glad to read about great shopping finds at our stores.

I really like all of your collectibles. You have some great looking items.

Perhaps we will see each other again at JoAnn's.

Dawn I will definitely be back. I made a couple of the little pincushions with the bottlecaps, but my cat took them before I could even finish them. LOL She loves them.

Thanks Mrs. B. I didn't think the blue bottle was something I'd like sitting around, but gosh, it looks great. I really like it. I bought another one today that is square.

Nighty Night Mrs. Blythe. :)

Roberta Same here. There are a lot of things that look different to me now than they have over the years. Some things I loved long ago and sort of forgot about along the way and am loving again.

Linda, that's neat about you and Goodwill. I'm glad I had a good report, too. I'll always be on the lookout when I'm in JoAnns. lol

Karen Yes. I decided to go for it. The worst that can happen is I'll end up with some cool vintage stuff, right?

I have one thing on ebay right now but it isn't showing up yet. It's kind of scary. lol

Good for you Lisa! And good luck. :)

Hi Lisa. I just had to say how much I like the goodies you are accumulating for your store! I love china and coloured glass. I really need to do some hunting around the markets here!
