A Gift for Moi

I am so excited. I've just ordered this bag from Debbie at Homespun Living. I am not a big "purse" person but once I saw this one, I could NOT stop thinking about it. It's more like a beach bag, which is perfect for me because I like to be able to throw in a book or stitching or something. The fabric just makes me happy!!! Look at it! I can't believe that it will soon be on its way to me. :)

I've been looking at it for a while but was waiting to make sure that an article got accepted with a magazine I write for. It did. I'll also be getting paid for the new copy editing job I started last month and got re-hired for the next issue, so hooray me!

Debbie makes so many beautiful things. I am so pleased that I will hold one of them in my hands (and take it every where I go. lol) Her blog is so pleasing to the eye with every single post. I just love it.

Ok...gushing over now. :)

Oh, I love it!!!! I've gotten so interested in purses lately. I made one for my mom for Mother's Day, but I haven't posted a pic of it yet on my blog.

That's so pretty. And all those jobs etc. You'd better not cut down on the blogging - lol. I love Homespun Living too. :o)

Susan, I can't wait to see it! I thought about making one but I know my limits. lol and this one haunted me. :)

Sarah...nah. I've been doing those jobs all along and you didn't notice. :) I have cut down on my writing for a couple of sites that were bringing in money, so I need to get back to that. It's so much more fun to blog. lol

I will post all of my comments here, because I'm not sure if you will get them if I post in the old ones. First off, the crocheted circle came out great. I have just recently started to crochet, it's so very addicting. Your pin cushion came out adorable. Did you get directions from somewhere, or did you just make it up. It's so cute. And that bag is so pretty. I can't wait for the update when you get it. Keep up the great work over there. I know there will come a season in my life when I have time to do lots of crafts, but for now, I have my littles keeping me busy. I just try to squeeze something crafty in here and there. ;0)

Susan When I said I can't wait to see it, I meant yours. I just read that and realized it sounded like I meant mine. :) (can't wait to see mine, either, but I meant the one you made for your mom).

It is very pretty. You should definitely enjoy it. I love the fabric.

Congratulations with your work too! I'm glad to hear your article was accepted and that you were re-hired for editing next month.

Sarah, you selfish? never. :) I took it as a compliment.

Emma, thank you! I feel pretty fortunate/blessed to have found all this work through the internet.

Hulda, thanks. I can't even explain how I could like a bag so much but I sure do.

Shereen, thanks. Just so you know..all my comments come to my email so I should get them no matter which post they're on.

There is a great tutorial for doing the pincushion at http://www.flickr.com/photos/verybigjen/sets/72057594099768007/

It's Dawn's at (4:53) blog. http://fourfiftythree.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_fourfiftythree_archive.html

Cindi at Cindi's Sewing (it's in my links) has some really pretty ones, too.

I know how that is. I actually made that pincushion at 1am. I don't sleep well when Tim works and he's been getting extra hours all week so I've been up crafting at all hours. lol

Thanks for your congrats, too. I feel blessed, for sure.

Lisa, you always find the BEST websites! I LOVE that purse too! I wonder if it's a 'one of a kind' or if she has many in that style and color because you're right, it is perfect for summer!

Hi Lisa, thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving the lovely comment.
You have some really great posts here and I will have fun catching up with them. I must say that I adore crocheted jug covers, and have actually started a little collection of them...yours is so sweet, well done.
The purse is lovely and big congratulations on all the work.

Mrs. B, I think this one was "one of a kind" but I know she had other styles. The bags are in her Firefly Farm shop and the link is on her blog.

Hi Kali, I'm so glad you stopped by. I can't believe that I had never seen a crocheted jug cover until very recently. There is something very endearing about them. Thank you for your kind comments regarding mine.

Thank you Hulda! I'm glad you like it. I thought it was time for a change. It was getting too fussy. :)

Take your time writing back. I just wanted to be sure you got it. :)
