Stitching Finished

Now I just have to make it into a needleroll.
My favorite row is the one with the blue flowers and the beads, I think. I tried to get a close-up but it's too blurry. Caleb (stepson) is home from work. I didn't have to go get him after all. A buddy of his gave him a ride. The house is straight, my stitching is done (after having to frog the xyz which is "over one", meaning little tiny stitches that don't like to come out..because, well, I had the "z" left over with nowhere to put it. lol I think I'll turn in for the night. Nite y'all. :)

Looks great, Lisa!!! And no one would ever know you were a groggy froggy on this piece if you hadn't told us! :) Glad you got it finished this weekend like you planned. Accomplishment feels good, doesn't it?

Deb lol thanks so much! I was tempted to keep the frogging information to myself, but I know sometimes it helps to know other people have to do it so I decided to share. ;) You're so right. Accomplishment does feel good. I can't even imagine how it felt the day you finished that quilt!!! And it is so beautiful.

That's really pretty Lisa. What will you do with it now? Frame it, or is it to be a gift? I've only been doing boring alteration type sewing recently :o( lol.

Mrs. Blyte, this was for a Needleroll stitchalong. Needlerolls were used at one time to hold..well..needles, I reckon. lol Now folks use them decoratively. It looks really nice to have a number together in a basket or something. So,I hope to make this into a needle roll and I will take a pic when I've managed it.

I think being able to alter clothing is a great talent. I have never really had the nerve, other than as a stint as a pants hemmer at a retail store. lol

Oh Lisa I did laugh where you've typed 'Mrs Blyte!' I feel a bit of a blight today as I have been quite ill after our meal out last night - something didn't agree with me! :o(

p.s. your dress looks really pretty now.
p.p.s my alterations are not complicated ones, just trousers shortened for junior, skirts taken in at the waist, etc.

Congratulations on your finish!

Ack Mrs. Blythe, I'm so sorry. LOL I didn't even notice it...and those alterations sound complicated enough for me. :)

Thanks so much Cathy!

Oh, and Mrs. Blythe, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I hope it goes away quickly.

I'm feeling alot better, thank you for asking. My hubby convinced me to go to church, even though I'd been up all night with tummmy trouble. I was glad I went though was a wonderful service. I collapsed in bed for an 1 1/2 hours in the afternoon though I must admit! lol ;o)

I think middle-of-the-day naps are wonderful. I fell asleep sitting up crocheting yesterday. Then the phone rang and I sprung up tossing my yarn and needle onto the floor. lol so disoriented.

I'm glad you're feeling better and that surely sounded like a wonderful service. I'm glad you didn't miss it.

I'm still praying for your grandfather, that he will be comforted as he goes into the hospital today and safe during surgery tomorrow and, of course, that he will surrender his life (and it is surrender, isn't it? we fight so hard)to Christ. The fact that he doesn't want anyone even praying for him tells me that he's afraid of losing this fight against God. ;)
