I am just amazed! That is so adorable. I also like your new blog look. I can't even figure out how to put links on mine. I am blog challenged.

Cindi Thanks. I am amazed, too! lol I'm tickled pink. Thanks about my new blog look, too. It's taken me a while to discover the "preview" button. Once I realized I could play with it and check it before making it permanent, I was more free to play around. I'd be happy to help you with what little I know.

Hi Lisa, Thanks for visiting my fledgling blog. I had to reciprocate and see the needleroll you mentioned. You have done a lovely job on it!

That's really pretty Lisa :o)

When I go on your blog the text next to the picture keeps appearing and disappearing (and I can't blame the apple crumble now! lol). Most strange :o.

Oh, I meant to ask, did your hubby sort out your lawn mower? And when do you get your new car? (hurrah- I missed that last night I must have been half asleep):o)

Thanks Karen and everyone.

Isabelle, Thanks so much for the invitation. I'll think it over.

Emma, I like your blog. :)

Sarah, I've noticed sometimes that the text disappears and reappears, come to think of it. Maybe I'll placing it too close to the picture tags and it's confusing my poor computer. It's always just been the top post, for me. Is it the same for you? Oh and he got me a beautiful new mower which I intend to try out in a bit when the grass has dried. It's a bit bigger and heavier than my last one so I'll get a workout. lol I love it. It has the pull start on the handle which will save my back so much. yay! We get the "new" (16 year old hehe) car Thursday. :)

The needle roll turned out so pretty!

I just found your blog through a comment you left on another's. I'm glad I came across it and will add it to my reads. :o)

I have never heard of a needle roll before. Is it used to store knitting needles? Looks too short for that though. I must sound daft. It's very pretty..is it a type of sampler?

Lisa said...

Singular Stitches Welcome and thanks. I'll be over to check out your blog directly. :)

Kelleigh, I had never heard of one either until I got hooked on the cross stitching blogs. I think they were used as pincushions in Victorian times and it is a sampler, as you figured out! On A Kiwi Stitching, which is under my favorite neighbors, you can see her wonderful collection which she displays in baskets. So pretty.

I had never heard of a 'needleroll' either...of course, I don't sew, so maybe that's why! LOL

Yours is so cute though! (o:

Thanks Mrs. B. I really like it and now that I know I can do it, I can think of a few people who might be getting them as gifts in the future. lol

Hi Lisa, your finished needleroll is just lovely, and being from the land of many, many sheep here in NZ, those sheepies really appeal to me, lol.

Hope your week is going well :)
