I've always loved decorating from things I already have. That's true home shopping. ;) I was re-inspired by a couple of blogs (mentioned in earlier posts) so I retrieved this shelf that belongs to Tim's mom but wasn't being used. I bought hardware to hang it and then took a day or so to decide where I wanted it. Finally, I decided to hang it here to cozy up the computer area. On the shelf are a teacup and saucer (also belonging to Tim's mom) that I had stuffed in a shelf, a lace doily (again...Tim's mother's) and a couple of old school books from Tim's grandfather given to us by his sister. That's a lot of history on the wall. :)

The LNS called and I have stash, glorious stash! The special bead for my needleroll is in as is the special thread which I forgot I ordered. lol It's a Weeks dye and she said it is pink so I can't wait to see it. There will be pictures later, for sure.

I love to decorate with what I have, but it always takes some inspiration to get me going. I have really come to love using old books - they just look so homey to me! Your computer area looks great!

I forget which blog I was looking at now, but someone had a small Bible leaning against something and when I saw these little books languishing on my shelf I thought about that blog. Sometimes I wonder if I could function without you guys. ;) Thanks for commenting..I was just over at your place. lol
