Yard Sale Finds

It's been a while. Just haven't had much to blog about. I've done a little stitching and that's about it. Kind of had the blahs. Too much work and not enough play, I think. :)

Today we got out early and hit some yard sales. I spent a whopping $11.00! Look what I got for that little bit, though. It makes me happy, happy.

Patrick bought one thing, a cooking thing for the broiler for doing steaks on days when he can't grill. There aren't many days when that man won't grill.

I just love the tea light holders I found in different colors. .50cents for three. Then I found the star tea light holders.  .50cents for two. The movie was $3.00 and has never been opened. The loaf pan was $2.00. I've been needing one. Now I can try out some bread recipes I've been seeing around.

And that besom!!! Isn't it gorgeous? I love the gnarly handle. It was $5.00.

Patrick's going to grill ribs today and I'm just going to hang out and possibly get some stitching or other crafting done. It's almost like a fall day. Cool and crisp. So inspiring!

What are you up to this weekend?

Great finds. I like the besom too. I found a cool bread pan this week with a lid on it. I don't need a new bread pan but I bought it because I love the idea of a lid for the times when I make banana bread and don't turn it out of the pan. Now I won't waste tin foil or Saran Wrap keeping it fresh.

I think I will just donate one of my other pans!!

I am making doily roses as a gift for my Mom. She found them in a craft book when she was here and loved them. I am going to mail them to my Dad or Bro and have them deliver them to work as if they were a florist!! :)

Hugs, Melissa

Great finds! I envy you. I've just about given up on yard sales around here. I never find anything good. Same with the thrift stores.

Hee, Hee funny! Thorn Bird.
Or are you serious?

Thanks for stopping by!

I deleted that comment
above in your comments
because when I read it,
the comment didn't make
sense to me.

I sometimes think one word
and write another and it
just doesn't make sense.
Kind of how when I read
sometimes. Guess it's
the double vision but not
sure why I write the wrong
words.

God Bless You and Yours!!!

I stumbled across this blog while looking at another blog, which was linked in a different blog... you know how that goes!

I am so glad I did find your blog - I love the besom - gorgeous work! And I like the smudge bundles as well - I have wondered if I could do something like that, and here they are!

Even cooler - you are located very near to me - I am in Bedford County. It's hard to find like minded folks around here. Please feel welcome to drop me a note on my blog -The Bead Kitchen
