Fun Finds

We stopped at a moving sale on Saturday and got quite a few things.

Patrick got this file organizer, which is going to be a huge help at his desk.
He found it and paid for it while I was looking around so I don't know how much it was.

This ball jar (sorry, I had already put it in some water when I remembered to take a pic lol) was $2.00. It's really big.

I can't decide if this is a tablecloth or a child's bed dust ruffle. The sides with the blue stars or flowers or snowflakes (?) feel like curtain sheers. I don't know what I'll do with them but the middle is a nice big piece of cotton that almost feels like the flour sack towels I just bought. It was $2.00.

$1.00 for the top smaller one. $2.00 each for the other two.

They're in really good condition.

$1.00 It's a vintage makeup bib.

A little stack of wood for painting. .25cents.

.25 c per can. They're basically full.

$1.00 polyfil. I was desperately needing some and was thrilled to find this. Then yesterday, my son brought my sewing machine back. He had borrowed it to make his girlfriend a birthday gift. When he returned the machine, he brought me another full bag of polyfil. So now I have two and can go make some stuff. :)

But this is the best thing of all. Friday we were driving back from the store and I saw this table sitting by the dumpster at the apartments across the street from us. I told Patrick that I didn't want to get it. I didn't know where I'd put it, etc, etc. I couldn't sleep Friday night and I kept thinking about that table. Of course, now I wanted it. As soon as morning came, I ran across the street hoping it would be there and it was! I picked it up. It's heavy! But I didn't care. I carried that puppy home and it's going to get a nice sanding and painting. My favorite price: Free!

And, an obligatory, kitty cuteness shot. I had just emptied this basket of yarns (I never use) from my sewing space. I brought it upstairs and put a doily in it and hadn't decided what else I would put in it yet. He just barely fits. So cute.

Be sure to click on the graphic at the top or in my sidebar and see everyone's Thrifty Treasures at Southern Hospitality. She has a spiffy new blog, but the links are up-to-date so click on over.

hehe he was free, too, though he has cost me a bit since he likes to sleep right up against breakables. Last night it was a picture frame. grrr. But he's sooo cute and sweet.

Lisa,
I wanted to stop by and say "hi" since you made your first comment on my blog the other day :)

Great finds. The free coffee table is awesome :)

I also scrolled back through and saw your little mishap with your stitching! LOL I think some pieces aren't meant to be, too. And man, you must have pulled hard to rip it up like that! LOL

Have a great day :)
