Flea Market Faery

Flea Market Faery

Dressed in scraps! I made this doll form about a year ago just to try out attaching legs and arms. The arms have q-tips inside the muslin. I was also practicing sewing that little pinched nose. She's been sitting naked just waiting for me to figure out how to finish her. Finally this morning I made her a beautiful little ragged skirt and gave her her faery wings. She's wearing a crochet circle I made, also while teaching myself to crochet. lol Her body beneath the crochet is muslin that has been painted pink. She has a pretty heart bead that shows right through her little cape. She hangs from a string of vintage buttons. I am in love.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful sacred Sunday.

Patrick and I have been busy in the studio all morning. Bloody Marys and fabric scraps...wood and feathers....beads and buttons....Can life get any better?

Dear Lisa, your doll is adorable and indeed very elfin.
Thank you for your wonderful comment on my blog. Although life and occupations may mean that we are not in touch as we used to, I feel the same about you that you do about me!
