This is my little garden corner. I finally made myself get out and rake leaves today. I moved the bench over and tried to just neaten up the area. Tim was storing bags of cement in my wheelbarrow and I had to lift those out and put them in the old shed before I could use it. I made several trips into the woods with the leaves. The wheelbarrow and rake are still sitting right where you see them. I really should get back out there and put them away.

This is the potholder I made last night with the tutorial from Debbie's blog. It's ok. Very patchworked from bits I had around. Now that I get the gist of how to do it, I'll plan to get some fabric just for making a few of these. The crocheted back seems ok but I want to try some knitted also and maybe with some heartier yarn.

I just looked over the picture of my wheelbarrow and realized it's the same color as my front door. :)

Your blog looks so "new", I really like the new look you have given it. :o) I like the bench in your garden, it seems so nice and looks good in the garden. I have always liked benches. And your quilt looks lovely, I like the colours too. :o)

Thanks Hulda. Yes, I decided that it was way too busy so I got rid of most of the extras. I like it better and I can use bigger pictures now, which is nice. Thank you for the nice comments on my bench and potholder.

Sarah, thanks. :)

Cindi, Deb's is really great.

I like the picture with the bench, makes you want to stop, sit and take in Fall.
The potholder is lovely, I like the crochet edges.

Thanks for the snow wish.

What a cool pot-holder! I love the quilted look.

I also love the way the colors in your winterizing photo look together; the red wheelbarrow, the green rake, the blue wall. I like it so much, I would just leave them there together till Christmas, lol!

I just read your comment on Lia's (artjunk)blog. You are such a smart woman!!!
Thank you for passing those words of wisdom along. Poeple ask me why don't I try to make more money selling things, but that is not what this is about for me. I want to sell stuff at justBe... because I think when you go somewhere special you like to bring home a piece of the place.

You offer such a great analogy with sports! My husband plays golf occassionally, one round is more than I spend on art supplies in a month so it really does all work out to be "fair" (even though no one is keeping score ;)

Hope you are having a great day!

The potholder turned out lovely. I like the patchwork reminds me a bit of the fabric of the quilts made by my grandma's and my mother's are different - this reminds me of great-grandma P
