Past Presents

Over the past few months, I have been the very fortunate recipient of some sweet giveaways. I've shown you the apron and the bookmark but I was being very lazy before and didn't show you these things.

Shell at Swan of Dreamers had a giveaway several months ago and I was lucky enough to win this lovely book, A Place to Dream. Shell was sweet enough to add a second book and some beautiful collaged tags she made (I'm so sorry I don't have a photo of them yet) and it all came to me smelling like roses. I asked her how she got it to smell so good and she said that she had some wonderful lotion that she put on and then she lovingly touched everything before packing it away for me. I was really touched by that and have enjoyed the books and tags so much.

A couple of months ago, I was given this wonderful surprise by my friend MarZel! I just love it. It's the perfect length to funky something up and it makes me smile every time I look at it. I didn't have any domino pendants and was always curious about them. It's really gorgeous and I'd love to know how she got the beautiful background.

I apologize for taking so long to show these things. I'm trying to be a better blogger. To you wonderful people who have given me awards and playfully tagged me, I am sorry I haven't put them here. I am terrible about procrastinating about awards and tags and then they pile up and I don't know where to begin. So if you awarded me lately or tagged me, please accept my apology. I do appreciate that you thought of me.

I got the weekly update out pretty early yesterday so I was able to get some sewing done. I finally finished up the curtains in the kitchen and am much happier with them now. I also made two pillows for the livingroom. You've seen these before as dresser scarves which I used as table runners. I just folded them in half, sewed up the three sides and now they're cushions. I really like them. They add some color and a little softness to the room. This apartment has become some kind of eclectic blend of funky cottage folk arty yumminess.

Have a great day everyone!

Your new pillow is so pretty. What a clever idea to use a dresser scarf!

I'm terrible about tags and awards, too. Sometimes they're just overwhelming....so I made my blog a "no tag" zone. It's not that I don't appreciate them, it's just the time involved.

Glad you are enjoying the books and tags. Thanks for your sweet words.
Hey, I'm bad with awards too. I think I may go award free for a while myself.

I love eclectic! Make things cozy and interesting and always something to look at. Particularly love old linens, so the pillow is very sweet. So nice what your blogging friend did to make the gift smell so good. Now THAT'S one good friend! Love your sidebar. Fun and funky and colorful, just like I like life to be.

Love the items. I might be wrong but the background on the domino looks like alcohol ink. It is some fun stuff to work with. Love Hugs and Blessings
