Some Stitching

Look! I crocheted a baby hat. :) I mostly followed a pattern I found on Ravelry. I did modify it to remove the earflaps and added a girly ruffle. A certain little baby girl is coming to visit me next week and I made this for her. It's my first. I'm so excited! I think I will be making a lot more of these and giving them away to charities. I started it over a bazillion times but finally got the hang of it and was able to finish it during the debates.
And this is what I ended up doing with the Peace stitchery. I've applied for a license to sell things I make with Sublime Stitching but Jenny is a busy woman and I haven't heard from her yet, so, poor me...I guess I'll just have to keep this for our bedroom.
Here's a view from the side so you can see the border. I got this fabric in a big bag of stuff from Goodwill. It was actually a rough dress with the zipper in and armholes cut. Someone did a lot of work but never finished it. I felt kind of bad cutting it up but, truthfully, the fabric looks better here than I think it would have on a whole dress.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. We're having a very lazy one. It feels good. The sun is finally out again today and that feels good, too. I stitched all day yesterday but I am not sure if I'm happy with it. I decided to put it away last night and look at it with fresh eyes today. I'll get a pic next week sometime, whether I decide to do anything with it or not.

Much love to you guys. xoxoxoxoxox

super cute hat. I also like to modify patterns. That way it turns out just the way I think it should. Great job in the pillow.

That hat turned out adorable. I love the stuff you've added to your shop to. Your art makes me smile.
