Love Letters

This is my latest completed doll. She's all hand-painted, including her face. I made her out of muslin and painted it pink and then painted the swirls with a zig paint pen. I made her little messenger bag out of some fabric Lisa Oceandreamer sent me a long time ago. I tied on fibers and ribbon. I crocheted a little round and folded it and sewed it on for wings. I dusted the edges with glitter. Her little messenger bag has teensy paper hearts in it with messages on them. :)

The doll with the orange feathers was purchased by a friend as a gift. I'm really happy about that. I mailed her out today.

I also mailed a small gift to my friend, Dot, in Australia.

AND I mailed my mother a letter telling her all about Patrick and the fact that we are engaged to be married in the Spring! Whew. Now, no more secrets. I felt like such a wimp not telling her about him.

It's Friday. Patrick has a meeting this evening but it will soon be the weekend and I'm really looking forward to it.

Yesterday I decided to run to the store so that we would have plenty of provisions and Patrick wouldn't have to stop at the store on his way home. Well, I came out to put the groceries in the car and there was his vehicle. LOL So, I went back in to keep him from buying everything I had just bought. That was fun. :) We both had white wine, but he bought chicken and I bought fish. lol

I hope you guys have a great weekend. I have a bunch of dolls all sewn up and I plan to do lots of embellishing this weekend.

My SoulCollage workshop is not going to happen. I wasn't diligent enough in marketing for it. I've rescheduled for April.

Talk to you soon. xoxoxox

LOVE the doll. I think it's my favourite so far.

Even as adults, it can be hard telling certain things to our mother. Like Lisa said, she'll just be happy that you are happy.

Have a great weekend. Make the most of it!

*hugs*

I'm happy to know you're happy! You and Patrick are so close together, I thought you had been married for a long time. LOL Just shows you definitely are living a "marriage of true minds" already :)

Love your newest doll. I also like the one you said you were unhappy with. Lisa, don't feel bad if your Soul Collage workshop didn't go this time. If it was meant to be, it will happen. At my art center, we had a collage class scheduled, and it just didn't go. I think people just go on line and learn it and think that's all there is to it. They forget what fun it is to share, and to do things together. But hang in there....it's get there. Um, Spring? Yeaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! I'm glad yu are feeling better. xoxoxoxoxo

She's lovely, Lisa!
I bet you do feel a lot of relief - I remember being so afraid to tell my mom things, despite the fact that somehow she always understood, and I bet your mom will, too. Congratulations to you and Patrick - it certainly sounds like you're on the same wavelength and I'm so happy for you!
I bet your next SoulCollage class will be a great success - keep on believing! I believe in you~xo

Your doll is beautiful and I love that she has little heart messages in her bag.

You seem so happy with Patrick so how could your mom not be thrilled that you're getting married! I hope you had a fantastic weekend filled with art and love.
