Happy Thanksgiving

It's a wonderful Thanksgiving morning.

I am thankful for the reminder to be thankful.

The last few days I was allowing myself to get stressed over things that don't even matter.

Why? Because I forgot to start my day by thanking the Creator for all of the amazing things in my life.

It's so important to be grateful. Not in a passive way but to actively be grateful.

It's not enough to just not think negatively. We must replace the worries and cares with something that vibrates at a higher level.

Love and gratitude have to be actively thought.

It is truly transforming when we take the time to be conscious of all the things that makes our lives so rich and wonderful.

Today my heart is so full. Yes, granted, that is the case more often than not with me lately, but even in this ideal life I was allowing little irritations to my ego to make me a little prickly.

Holidays are wonderful and make us slow down a little.

Holidays are also markers of the past. We can't help but compare and contrast prior holiday seasons with the present one.

It's important, though, that we not attach ourselves to those memories. Whether we view those past seasons as good or bad, we must live in the now.

I've been fortunate to read a number of things in the past week about letting go of the past. It's a subtle thing.

Sometimes I didn't even realize how I was letting little things from the past invade my present.

Things I no longer have to worry about were lingering in my mind, worrying me. How silly is that?

But it wasn't as simple as just not thinking about it. I had to replace those nagging thoughts with something.

Gratitude.

Active gratitude.

"Thank you, Creator, for my children."
"Thank you, Creator, for their loving hearts, for their health and for their happiness."
"Thank you, Creator, for Patrick."
"Thank you, Creator, for our love, for our beautiful life together, for our Union in You."
"Thank you, Creator, for this blogging community of souls woven together with technology, art and your spirit."
"Thank you, Creator, for friends."
"Thank you, Creator, for our ability to create our lives the way we want them to be."
"Thank you, Creator, for your abundance."

Be specific. Be actively grateful. Be at peace. Have joy.

Happy Thanksgiving, my friends.

I love you.
