September 1st

Today my baby turned 15. Unbelievable. He's a special person and I am so grateful that he is my son. He's grown up so much. It's amazing what a difference a year or two can make in a person. It's as if you spend their childhood trying to teach them all these things and they spend the in-between years resisting and then surrendering and processing it all. One day they just seem to suddenly "get it." Michael gets it. I'm very proud of him. Happy Birthday, Michael!

I don't know why some of these pictures are turned. I fixed them and they are right when I open the file but then rotate back when I try to load them. If you don't mind, just cock your head to the left. :)

Below are a few more pics. I should just title them: Happiness. Patrick has wanted a grill since he got here. Today, he finally went and bought one. The chicken is smoking as we speak.

This is just another day in our Sacred Life.

Happy birthday to your boy.
One day I thought my boy would be just my boy then one day he shocked me with such a grown up and responsible way of being. Isn't it something? He's nineteen and so grown up.
Love the idea of smoked chicken...hmmm, now I'm thinking of dinner and it's only 2pm!
have a great day.

Happy birthday to your son, Lisa - it's amazing how quickly they grow up, isn't it?
I kind of like the pictures going the different directions, makes it all look even more intriguing. Have a great weekend, Lisa - enjoy! xo

Yes, they go from saying "goo goo" to "can I have the car tonight?" in what seems to be a matter of seconds.

You sound like you are totally fine with it, Lisa. That's a smart outlook. After all, it's not like we are in charge!
