I just listed these on Etsy. I have no idea if anyone will even take a second look but if I don't put them up, I'll never know will I?

I hope everyone is having (or has had) a nice weekend. I saw Nick's musical Friday night. Mike sat with Tim's mom so I could go. It was amazing. I was one proud Mama, let me tell you. I still get a lump in my throat when I think about him on that stage singing his heart out. I had no idea he could belt it out like that. His acting is awesome, too. His girlfriend was fabulous. She had some really funny lines that had everybody rolling laughing and a couple of tearful ones as well. Her singing was beautiful.

The whole production was spot on. I was so impressed and so proud. There were no dropped lines, no awkward moments. It was hard to believe it was a high school performance. It is always good for my heart to see that many kids (and there were a LOT of kids in the cast, dance crew, chorus, tech crew) devote 100% to something of that magnitude. They were incredible.

I am also very proud of Mike since Tim's mom told me that he helped her out when she needed some things.

My boys are growing up.

Last night, after dishes and all that kind of stuff I played around on the computer, painted and read. It was a nice quiet Saturday night.

I'm reading Wayne Dyer's book Your Sacred Self. I had forgotten how much I enjoy his stuff. I love this book and have nearly finished it. I have another of his from the library that I'll read next. It's called Every Problem Has a Spiritual Solution. I love being reminded of this part of myself. I get frustrated and sort of set my soul aside for a time and now it's time to pay attention to it again.

Hmm maybe that's where that painting came from.

Congratulations to your son and his fellow cast members! That newsclip of them you linked to, made me wish I could see it, too - they looked and sounded awesome just in rehearsal - I can only imagine how cool the actual production must have been. You have a right to be a proud Mama - and kudos to your son who stayed behind to help, so Mama could enjoy a night out. What wonderful young men!
p.s. I love Dr. Dyer's writing (and speaking - I loved the PBS series he did), too, but haven't read that one - thanks for the recommendation.

I didn't have time to read all of that before..but I just did...and WOW! On-Stage way to go!! On-stage is SOOO much fun! I bet he'll get loads of experience that way. FUN FUN FUN! What musical was it do you know? What part did he play? What part did his girlfriend have?

Your comments made for a good day y'all. :) Thanks!

Angela, his play was Elton John and Tim Rice's version of Aida. His girlfriend played the daughter of the Pharaoh and Nick played Zoser, her fiance's father. lol (kind of ironic) He played a really bad guy. After the show, his girlfriend's dad told him what a great job he did..and then he said, "you were acting, right? I mean you're not really like that, right???" hehehe

I love all your artwork and I bet I'm not the only one! You should do good on Etsy.
My hubby loves reading Wayne Dyer. He has several of his books and CDs.
Now I'm off to read your link.

I can hear the pride in your voice when you write about Nick. He sounds very talented (and his girlfriend too).
And Mike is obviously a very caring soul, like his mum.

Have loved Wayne Dyer for a long time. And he was one of the first people I read when I started my spiritual journey. He is a very, very wise man.
Beautiful art Lisa, very beautiful.
