Mixed Media on Canvas Board. 9"x11"

This piece was inspired by a number of conversations I've heard lately, in which people were put into certain boxes. Some people need a box if they can be the leader of their particular self-appointed box. We try to label things so that we can figure out where we "place." But to do this is to miss the point. We are all in this together. There is enough love, art, support, fill-in-the-blank, for all of us. There is no need for competition and categorizing.

I approached it with art in mind, but it translates into just about any arena.

Acrylic paints, face image from Nancy Baumiller (TwoCrowAbout), gesso, glue, markers, some kind of fabric I had around from another project gone awry. :)

Hi, Lisa, I really like your fairy book for the little girl you knows. She must be very happy for it, I think. :) I hope you have a good time, it is a long time since I heard from you. Have a nice weekend!

I LOVE THIS ONE! I have wanted to get started with this type of art as well. It looks soo fun but I'm too uptight. I worry that I'll do something wrong. Maybe one day I'll put all that aside and just create!I totally agree with you! *HUGS*
