Needlebook

I made this little needlebook this morning. I got a fat quarter of this fabric over the weekend. I thought it was a nice bright change. I tend to choose paler colors. I liked the little lady bugs and the bright flowers.

I was in the mood to make something practical; something useful. And I needed a smaller needlebook. The one I crocheted was so big and floppy. Speaking of floppy; I really need to get some fusible interfacing stuff. All my stuff just kind of flops around and it's taken me until yesterday to realize that interfacing would help that.
Yeah, I know. I'm a quick one.

I'm not sure what else I'll do today. Well, besides laundry. There is always laundry to do, isn't there?

Have a great day. Whether it's beautiful and sunny or you're snowed in, I hope you are having a peaceful and loving day.

Gorgeous fabric! I think lady bugs are the cutest little bugs.

Your needle envelope is adorable. I don't use fusible interfacing, but I do use a heavy fabric or canvas as a backing.

I often wonder where the laundry comes from. Does it breed over night?

I've made needlebooks but never for myself. As to interfacing, I love using suit weight interfacing on both sides of a project (i.e. if it is a purse I fuse interfacing to both the exterior and interior fabrics.

Laundry breeds. Yesterday, I thought I was all caught up - I've done three loads today.

Hulda, thanks. :)

Robyn, I am almost sure it does. lol

Me Every time I walked through the house with laundry today, I thought about you saying this. LOL

Giggles Thanks. I liked the bright colors, too. I think I'll have to choose more fabric like this in the future.

Amy Yay! :)

Angela Thanks. Your site is always so inspiring. I love all the things you make. I love that you're reading Joyce Meyers too. I have thought about getting that book (Battlefield). I love to listen to her.

wow, I haven't thought about one of these in years, it's quite a good idea to bring back as I am always wondering "now where is my needle?". I use interfacing and it depends on the project how heavy I will go. I have also used canvas as a backing. I just love what I am using right now because the "quilties" have more body. play with various things and see what YOU like.
XOXO

THANK YOU again for my ocean doll.

Love the fabric you have used Lisa!

I laughed at your line about using interfacing.
'Yeah, I know. I'm a quick one'. You have the funniest sense of humour.

I bought a little needlebook from a lady on Etsy and don't know how I got by without one before!

That is so practical and pretty. Great idea especially if you are taking some sewing with you and don't have room for bulky pin cushion.

Kai, I'm glad I could bring back happy memories!

Lisa, I'll have to play around. And yes...I don't know what I'd do without a single place to put my needles. They'd be everywhere. Now this one doesn't take up my whole basket like my other did. yay.

Dotee, hehehe :) Isn't Etsy the greatest place?

Melba, thanks!

Elisabeth, hard to believe it's the weekend already. I hope you're having a great one.

Gemma I may have to make a few more now that you said that. lol One for my purse..one for the glove compartment.

Sarah, it is cheery! It makes me smile when I look at it.

Tinker, thanks so much. You say such kind things!
