Emma, I am ready for some sunshine now..and we are finally getting some today. :)
Sarah Yes! I just love her stuff. I like choosing the colors I will use and seeing how they work together..and I like that it doesn't have to be perfect. Tim says I like it because it's "real."
That's a good observation by your Mr Lisa! I love hand embroidered and hand made things especially because they don't look perfect, they are unique and a lot of the beauty comes from the uniqueness. An object is more lovely when time and love has been put into it rather than a perfectly made shop bought item. I like things with a history too for that same reason, when something has been much loved, like a battered old teddy or a grandparent's rocking chair or bible, etc. Blessings Lisa, happy stitching. I'm going to post some stitching later (and I can quite safely promise it won't be perfect!!!). Off to sit on the swing in the garden with little L and drink a coffee and stitch away (got my inspiration from Emma's post the other day, I wanted to join her, I bet you did too? - especially for the cake! Yum.) :o)
Sarah, I can't wait to see your stitching post. :) yes, I did want to join her but as soon as I saw those cute little doggies, I just knew it hadn't lasted. lol
