I had a car and it was ok, then hubby bought a Mercedes (83;really cheap)and the electricals got fried so I went back to driving the old car and the alternator went out. One thing after another, so I have just been driving hubby's "ute" hehe, truck. It's fine, really, except that my boys are huge and squeezing us all in to that truck every day has become a real challenge. They will be very pleased to have room to stretch out a bit. Plus, I adored my Grandma and Grandpa. My grandpa died the year he bought this car and my grandma died the next year, so it's very sentimental for me.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14482723497287290855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25631073.post-1148337793000980852006-05-22T17:43:00.000-05:002006-05-22T17:43:00.000-05:00I'd never heard of knitted dish cloths until just ...I'd never heard of knitted dish cloths until just recently, and thought - now that's a project I could possibly handle! What a great idea for a gift Lisa. They look so homey - much nicer than Chux wipes.

Wow, your getting a new car of your own. That's exciting. You will have your own wheels now?Kellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12213310707886579746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25631073.post-1148336405674961072006-05-22T17:20:00.000-05:002006-05-22T17:20:00.000-05:00I shall have a look thanks. I'll just have to pop in and buy it all back! Anyway, I reallllly am going to beddy-byes now. I'm sure you'll get to it. To be honest, I may not have finished this one if I had messed it up one more time. I kept having to rip the whole thing out and start over, but I really wanted to give mom one knitted one. I made myself one that was pink striped a while back and I love washing dishes with it. It gave me no problems at all. I don't know what was wrong with me this time. lol I think you'll love cleaning with it. The ridges make it really good for scrubbing. :)Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14482723497287290855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25631073.post-1148322778856958222006-05-22T13:32:00.000-05:002006-05-22T13:32:00.000-05:00Oops, no, it's white.Oops, no, it's white.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25631073.post-1148322712887329892006-05-22T13:31:00.000-05:002006-05-22T13:31:00.000-05:00Lisa, you are very crafty! My sister started teaching me to knit in March...I did a few rows at her house, brought it home, and the dishcloth is in its same stage as when I left her 2 months ago! I believe the pattern I'm working on is the blue one of yours on top. (I think it's blue, at least on my screen.)

Anyway, good job! I HAVE to finish mine!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25631073.post-1148321698300066692006-05-22T13:14:00.000-05:002006-05-22T13:14:00.000-05:00Thanks Hulda! I love the sentence about how we die a little every time we get obsessed with Jessica, Britney (and I forget the other one). It is so true but I've never heard it put quite so succintly.

Oooh Happymama; good idea! I will try it. I don't know if I typed it or just thought it, but everytime I look at that pic and now the one with me and the "claw" I think of the deadpan "I am smiling." lolLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14482723497287290855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25631073.post-1148313110011801042006-05-22T10:51:00.000-05:002006-05-22T10:51:00.000-05:00Lisa, thanks for posting on my blog. I've tried, but just can't seem to get it.

I think you should take the picture under the post "The Nerve" and turn it black and white or sepia. That's my thing. I love to do that. LOL I'd love to see it if you try it.

"See" ya later!Kristihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10408986161900668410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25631073.post-1148311620202222232006-05-22T10:27:00.000-05:002006-05-22T10:27:00.000-05:00Once in Girl Scouts we were supposed to knit dish ...Once in Girl Scouts we were supposed to knit dish cloths. That's when I discovered that except for embroidery, I was challenged for any kind of needlework. Absolutely hopeless. Your post brought back memories of the scouts meeting in the basement of the old Carnegie library where I probably read 2/3 of the books on the shelves, at least the novels.

GrapeshotGrapeshot/Odettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11625862990225356412noreply@blogger.com
