A little Christmas decorating in the kitchen. The boys bought this tree for me years ago when I didn't and couldn't have one. It's precious to me. I was so excited to put it in my "new" crock this year. I tied homespun around the branches, as I've seen others do on prim blogs and put one little snowman ornament on it.
While I was Christmas decorating, Mike and his girlfriend were carving a pumpkin. Cute, right?
We put a few ornaments on the tree. We're adding them slowly when the cat isn't watching.
Because this is his new favorite place to hang out.
I like everything, but I'm absolutely loving the pumpkin, and the kitty too! They are precious. I haven't stared decorating for the holidays yet, but you sure know how to put a girl in the mood.

LOL I know what ya mean bout decorating around your pets ! I swear my dogs get as excited as I do at Christmas lol. I'm lovin that stichery. Would make a cuteeee pillow tuck or frame it up. Oh and that pumpkin .....thats some good carving !

ReplyDeleteWhat is it with animals and trees? My dog used to sleep under the tree too! And she was a huge rotweiller. We tried never to startle her while she was under there, or she'd take the whole thing down!

Question for ya . . . my sister is a huge primitive collector/crafter. And I'm always looking for gift ideas for her. What is the reason for baking what you coffee-stained? And how do you do it?

Dawn, I do it mostly to lock in the smell of the spices and coffee and it does give it a little darker prim look. Some people bake things until they look almost dirty. I put the oven on about 250 and put the item I'm baking on a pan with aluminum foil and just bake it. You have to keep an eye on it, though. Occasionally things catch on fire. :)
